Visualising viruses

Viruses are beautiful in their symmetry and complexity. 3D visualisations of complex biological data are crucial for research and public health messaging.

Advances in Blender's 'Geometry Nodes' now allow for the import and manipulation of complex biological data, such as the experimentally determined structures of viruses, to be rendered and animated inside of Blender.

'Geometry Nodes' allows the manipulation of and visualisation of this complex & scientifically accurate data, enabling scientists and scientific illustrators to more clearly communicate their findings to a broader audience.
