Located in the heart of 15th-century Amsterdam, accommodates up to 700 visitors.
The venue is wheelchair accessible and has an elevator for first-floor access.”
Hostels / Hotels: Stayokay Amsterdam Stadsdoelen is one of the most popular options, as it's within walking distance of the venue. A more affordable option is Camping Zeeburg Amsterdam, which isn't very close but has a tram connection. You can easily find hotels through common sites such as Booking.com.
Unless you have a good budget (€100 per night or more), it's advisable not to choose a hotel within the canal area, especially not in the old city center or near the train station. Instead, find a hotel outside the canal area, within cycling distance, or one with a good tram/metro connection to Rokin, the closest station to the venue. Bicycle rentals are available everywhere.
The venue is within walking distance (~10 minutes, 700m) from the Rokin metro station (line 52 Noord-Zuid). It’s about a 17-minute walk from the Nieuwmarkt metro station (lines 51, 53, 54). Both metro lines have stops at the main train stations.
From Amsterdam Centraal (the main train station), it's a ~22 min walk (1.6km).
Avoid taxis, especially those at the train station, as they can be overpriced. A taxi ride from the airport to the venue can easily cost you €45 or more. If you really need a taxi in Amsterdam, ask your hotel to call one for you or contact Taxi Centrale Amsterdam at 020 7777777; they are reliable. There are also plenty of Ubers available throughout Amsterdam.
Walk to the main exit hall; there's a railway station underneath. Take the train to Amsterdam Centraal Station (about 20 minutes). You can purchase tickets from vending machines or at the ticket desks.
Parking in Amsterdam is either impossible or expensive! It's best to park outside the city center, such as at the ArenA Transferium. See parking rates, they often include metro/tram tickets.
The venue is split in its center by a staircase, leading to each level and half-level.
The Meeting room is only accessible via the entrance of the Developer Attic, with a spiral staircase. Thus the Meeting room is not accessible for wheelchair users or people with mobility issues. Please reach out to Francesco if you wish to organize a meeting elsewhere.
An elevator located after the reception leads to the rooms on the front side (here on the right: Market, Classroom, Hacker Bar) while the rooms located on the other side (Studio, SIG and Developer Attic) are served by an elevator located on the left to the Theater.
Speakers should be aware that the Theater and Studio both have podiums - if you need a ramp, please reach out to us via your presentation page.
