Using geometry and simulation nodes, this presentation and live demonstration looks at the techniques and methods employed in the creation of several music videos for multi-Grammy award winning musician, Jacob Collier.
For the release of Collier’s latest album, Djesse Vol 4, several lyric videos were created by digitizing a glass sculpture by New York artist Dustin Yellin which is featured on the album cover and animating over 3,000 individual collage images in dynamic movements individual to each song.
Techniques that will be explored include:
- Animation based on audio waveforms
- Creating a waveform data-buffer
- Controlling emissions of particles with audio information
