We usually think of Blender as a tool. However, there’s a lot more Blender can do, and the goal of this presentation is to find out how big of a feature can be crammed into it without changing its source code.
In this talk, Vincent Dorenkamp wants to share a few experimental ideas where he uses Blender as a framework for tool development. He will present a few projects which try to push this framework to the limit by implementing simulation algorithms in Geometry Nodes, extending Blenders Python interpreter and integrating machine learning into the blender toolset.
Hi :)
I'm Vincent, a 17 year old blender tech enthusiast from Germany, and this year I'll be joining my second conference - this time with my own presentation.
I do stuff with Blenders nodes and python since 2019 where I try to push the capabilities of vanilla Blender as much as possible without touching the source code.
Currently I'm working on an addon called RotoForge which is a ML-assi…
