Synthetic data is images and data created by computer rendering with the 3D engine. These data can then be used for AI training. Like human beings, seeing novice objects in “fake” photos can help AI learn and recognize them in the real world. SDG(synthetic data generation) with Blender propose a new area of using Blender engine. It involves machine learning, engineering, and data science knowledge. In this talk, Yuan Miaomiao will explain what SDG is. How SDG with Blender is different from other Blender projects, how to make Blender do a series of work automatically on cloud machines--to generate billions of synthetic data, and the challenges she met in real projects.
