How to: blend 2D and 3D for commercials

We’re Rocketpanda, a lovely small animation studio based right here on planet Earth, making brands shine with colorful, explosive videos. Over the past three years, we’ve pushed Blender to its limits, integrating it into our 2D and 3D pipeline to produce vibrant commercial videos. It wasn’t easy for a mainly 2D animation studio to dive into the 3D world, but thanks to Blender, we started discovering uncommon yet effective ways to use this powerful software. In this talk, we’ll take you behind the scenes of our projects and show you how our small Italian team—just 10 creatives!—achieved international success by using unconventional techniques and sharing our creative journey with our online community.
