Speed Skiing is a discipline where a skier tries to reach highest possible speed while going downhill in a straight line. Word record is 255.5 km/h.
One way to better understand the air flow around a skier, at such speeds, is to use virtual simulations, CFD. This is used to improve the pose and equipment (such as helmet, fairings, poles etc.)
Here we will look at a workflow using only free and open source tools and how Blender is the key part of it.
Working with Aerodynamics at Volvo Cars and for the Swedish SpeedSki Team.
Always enjoyed sketching, painting, 3d modeling, "inventing technical things", programing, engineering and of course doing sports.
