Hello Everyone! My name is Raphael Rau, though many know me as Silverwing online.

I do 3D stuff with the goal of creating renders indistinguishable from photographs. Over the years, I've become passionate about texturing, shading, lighting, and rendering—but also the computer science behind it all. I love understanding how render engines actually work under the hood, though I'd still describe myself as a generalist since I'm interested in almost everything CGI-related.

I mainly use Octane Render and I've recently been diving into Blender and creating tutorials for it as well. I share my knowledge through my YouTube channel, tutorials and resources because people often ask how I achieve my results. Though I'm constantly learning in this vast field—there's always something deeper to explore!
