Rubén Sotomayor is a professional digital sculptor and Lookdev artist specialized in Non-Photorealistic Rendering (NPR) with more than 10 years of experience in the animation and videogame industry. He has collaborated with major studios such as Netflix, Titmouse, Bluezoo, Spline, Teidees, Spin Master, and Powerhouse Animation, contributing to projects like Love, Death & Robots and Overwatch 2 cinematics.
His expertise lies in character and environment sculpting for pre-production, creating NPR-styled 3D sculpts that serve as a foundation for 2D design and animation teams. In addition to his professional work, Rubén is the founder of KorogiStudio and KorogiAcademy, where he has trained over 150 students worldwide. He also teaches organic modeling online at U-tad (Madrid) and has lectured at Voxel School and Warrior Art Camp.
Passionate about stylized workflows, Rubén focuses on bridging 3D and 2D through innovative NPR techniques, while also developing his own creative projects and educational courses to share his unique approach with the next generation of artists.
